“Every day I battle with the voices in my head that tell me to kill myself. My father molested me repeatedly beginning during my toddler years. I have been in and out of mental hospitals due to that trauma. I practice self-mutilation—cutting—to ease the pain. I have demons! They torment me every night in my bedroom. They turn lights on. I hear them breathing in my ear. They continually poke me during the night, tormenting me. I have been raped by them multiple times. At times they take over my personality and I wake up in another house, in bed next to a man I don’t know.
