RISK
Daring to Take the Gospel to a Muslim Nation
RISK is about New Hope Christian Center, our home church in the small town of Waterloo, Indiana (population 2,242). Our church took a risk and made a covenant with the Lord, pledging ourselves to take the Gospel to the Berani, a resistant and hostile unreached people group residing in one of the hardest to reach areas of the globe.
RISK is about Chet & Phyllis Swearingen, who were sent out from New Hope Christian Center to live and work among the Berani.
RISK is about the dynamic and resilient Indonesian believers, whose courage, intelligence, and passion to a vision, has led them on a journey of rapid church multiplication.
Chet & Phyllis Swearingen lived over five years in Indonesia. Though still highly involved with the work there, they now reside in Auburn, Indiana and are working with communities throughout Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio, uniting churches in prayer and in preparation for revival.
