Forty to fifty percent of those who have come seeking freedom and desiring a revival in their spiritual life decided that the price was too high. The price they would have to pay was that they would have to:
- Forgive
- Confess sin
- Make themselves vulnerable to God
- Make themselves vulnerable to others
- Be honest
- Expose the deep secrets that have bound them in their unrevived state.
THEY WENT AWAY SAD, NOT HAVING EXPERIENCED PERSONAL REVIVAL
Like the parable of the rich young ruler who “went away sad”, many dozens of people have walked away sad, further tightening the straps to the load of sin on their backs (Matthew 19:22).
- They went away making the decision that revival would be too painful.
- They made the decision to withhold revival from their spouse, children, and those in their circle of influence. That is because one person’s revival becomes contagious, it is transferable.
- Instead of experiencing a personal revival, they made the decision to remain in their tormented and broken down condition, and locking the Church of Jesus Christ further into a state of apathy, lethargy, and complacency.
- Instead of paying the price and seeing the fruit of their revival, which is the salvation of those in their circle of influence, they chose to ignore and be unconcerned about those who will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire.
GRASS ROOTS REVIVAL
