Jesus Was an Exorcist

With over 24 accounts of exorcisms recorded in the Bible, no conservative, evangelically oriented Christian, can deny that Jesus was an exorcist. In addition, all of his disciples were too. The 12, as well as the 70.

And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. – Matthew 10:1

Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”  – Luke 10:17

The Great Commission
Beyond Jesus’ immediate 12 and 70 disciples, we Christians today are also included in Jesus’ command to drive out demons. The Great Commission to the church was to be in effect till the end of the age.

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”  – Mark 16:15-18

The Directive has Never been Retracted
Nowhere in Scriptures is there any indication that the command to cast out demons was retracted, nor was it anywhere stated that it would be no longer needed. Quite the contrary, the Bible clearly shows that as we approach the end days evil will increase more and more (Matthew 24:12).
