It is exceptionally strange to hear the question asked:
Is deliverance ministry a fad?
A deliverance ministry is simply a team of people coming alongside someone who is desperately reaching up to Jesus, who is exercising faith to be healed and set free from addictions, emotional distress, and a wide host of other deep soul issues.
Some erroneously assume that just because one becomes a Christian they are immediately free from the addictions, emotional pain, and deep inner-wounds of their past. That is simply not the case. There could be a rare occasion when that type of healing miraculously accompanies salvation, but it is very rare.

FADS
Fads are almost always associated with teens and young adults. The majority of those that prayer teams minister to are those over 50 years of age. So this is in no way a fad. In revivals of the past, those of the older generation have had dramatic encounters with Jesus, and they know His power is real. So when a team of intercessors have God’s delivering power flowing through them, these older people remember their encounters in the past and they get in line to receive.
YOUNG ADULTS AND TEENS
We have seen a few young adults take advantage of these prayer teams, and the deliverance they have received has been remarkable. Our hope and expectation is that this younger age group will take advantage of these prayer teams, so whatever trauma or emotional pain they are carrying can be immediately healed and not be carried into their marriage and transferred down to their children and future generations.
