When to Consider Deliverance

These are a few of the occasions when a Christian should consider going through a deliverance process.

1. When they have no concern for those who will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire.

2. When they find the Bible boring, and they have no interest in learning about it.

3. When church attendance is easily neglected, or dreaded.

4. When they demonstrate their doubt in the importance of prayer, by their neglect of that practice.

5. When they know the spiritual gifts and talents they have been given are from God, but they find things in the world more pleasurable than utilizing those gifts for God’s glory.

6. When their own interests are more important than what they could be doing to help others.

7. When they repeatedly attempt to “work up” the desire to do what they know they should, but they remain stuck in a state of spiritual depression.

8. They don’t feel that God is close.

9. When they are addicted to drugs, alcohol, food, entertainment, and after repeated attempts to change, they cannot break that addiction.

10. When they have a horrible attitude, nasty disposition, and all their efforts to change fails.

11. When their inner turmoil deprives of them of peace. They can’t sleep, and all through the day they have continual mental torment that weighs them down.

12. When victims of sexual molestation, incest, or rape cannot receive healing from their emotional pain.

13. When overwhelming regrets or bad decisions keeps them from being able to have hope for a better tomorrow.

14. When suicidal thoughts are unrelenting.

15. When self-mutilation (cutting, scratching), and obsessive compulsive behaviors control them.

16. When temptations to sin are above and beyond what is normal for most people, and those temptations have an unrelenting control over their life.

17. When sexual thoughts habitually plague them, and they give the person no rest.

18. When they have voices speaking to them, telling them to do harmful things to themselves or to others, or the voices tell them things they know are contradictory to the Bible, and they know those voices are not their own.

19. When the mind is foggy, and it seems as though they are living their life in the background – watching what is taking place.

20. When the Bible is attempted to be read and the eyes become foggy or a headache immediately comes on.

21. When sitting in a church service and a fog comes over the mind when the sermon starts to be given, or when the singing starts.

22. When there are obvious spiritual disturbances in the home, with things being seen, noises heard, or objects moving
